Department of Health
For children between 0-6
•  Free health care at clinics and hospitals including immunization
•  Free screening for early detection of possible disabilities and special needs

For children between 7- 14
•  Free primary health care (at clinics only)

Department of Social Development
•  Child Support Grant (link with Social Assistance Act booklet - pages 6-9)
•  Foster Child Grant - for those who qualify (link with Social Assistance Act booklet - pages 6-9)
•  School uniforms in Grade 1, for children who are in Quintile 1 schools, as defined by the GDE
•  Psychosocial support by social workers  

Department of Education

•  School fees exemption, for children who are in Quintile 1 schools, as defined by the GDE, or subject to specific school governing body approval.
•  School feeding, for children who are in Quintile 1 schools, as defined by GDE
•  Scholar transport, for those children who live over 5km from the school
